	One Sunday morning recently as we were lost in worship the Lord was speaking to us about the Secret Place, that place of intimacy with Him. He draws us close to Himself... as hard as it is to believe, He wants us to be close to Him... So many places in Scripture show us this yet, still, in our own experience this seems to be the hardest thing for us to believe...
Religion causes us to find ways to 'earn' our way back to God, as if that were possible! In the Garden of Eden our response was to hide, and we still do, and rightly so..! ... this is the Awesome Creator God of the Universe! but... we discover that Love, Grace and Mercy are embedded in the universe! ... the very Heart of God... and that through Jesus, God revealed His Heart.. and now He says, come... wow.. ah wow... ... such Grace...! such Mercy...! this page is about that place of intimacy that The Lord has made for us... and each of us must come alone...
I worship, seeking God, having to fight with burdens and heaviness to get there, then recognising God is there at the heart of our pain and sorrow. I begin to feel Gods presence closing in... 'be still and know that I Am God'. At this place our only barrier is staying there. Too often our hurts and fears overtake us, mock us and cause us to stumble. It is in staying still, stepping closer, turning our ears towards God and away from the things that draw us away that He draws us closer into a place of grace. Physically it hurts but God is there, emotionally you feel out of control but God is there, something is taking place that words cannot describe, an exchange... deep calling to deep, Gods spirit communicating to your spiritual identity. This is the place where all our hurts, fears, rejection, disappointments and loneliness are raw but as our spirits respond it becomes the place where transformation takes place, it is only by Gods grace, love, acceptance, His secret place.
